The NXP S12XS family of 16 bit microcontrollers offers the advantages of low cost, low power consumption, EMC and code size efficiency. The S9S12XS256J0VAA is one of the devices in this family that offers all the benefits and efficiency of a 16-bit MCU. The MCU S9S12XS256J0VAA operating at 40 MHz in a compact size PQFP-80 package supporting supply voltages from 3.135 V to 5.5 V.

— Upward compatible with S12 instruction set with the exception of five Fuzzy instructions(MEM, WAV, WAVR, REV, REVW) which have been removed
