The Texas Instruments TPS65251RHAT is a high-performance Power over Ethernet (PoE) controller with integrated PoE Stack. It is designed to power Ethernet devices at power levels up to 95 W, while providing advanced system management functions and system monitoring capabilities. This device allows users to easily deploy robust and powerful PoE systems in any Ethernet application. The TPS65251RHAT has integrated circuit protection, load management, and on-board power supply safety features. It offers full PoE (Power Sourcing Equipment) and C 605 compliance, and is fully compatible with IEEE 802.3bt standard, guaranteeing seamless interoperability with any 802.3af or 802.3at PoE device. The TPS65251RHAT allows auto-detection of PDs (Powered Devices) and supply current up to 20A per channel. The integrated PoE Stack implements the limited discovery frame and Auto Negotiation process as defined in IEEE 802.3bt. The on-chip also includes six channels, flexible power savings and low-power modes; interface and bridge between South-Bridge and North-Bridge on MCU; and System Monitor with over-voltage, over-current and temperature protection. The device also offers high-efficiency switching mode power supply with up to 95W output power. This controller is perfect for powering Ethernet applications such as VoIP phones, wireless access points, IP cameras, and medical devices. Last but not least, it works within a temperature range of -40 ºC to 85 ºC, offering reliable operation within industrial-, and commercial-use applications.
